I just took money out at an ATM maybe 20 minutes ago; here I am sitting at an Internet Cafe checking my bank balance online... Would you know the bank shows the transaction already! I remember not too long ago when a foreign transaction would take weeks to show up on the account, not any more.
The other great thing is that the bank seems to be giving a good rate - 45.3 rupees to the $ (xe.com shows the rate as 45.8 not bad) and presumably not charging a fee...
