Credit card fraud

Checking my credit card balances today I noticed that the balance would not update, and there was a note to contact the company. When I did I was told that there was fraudulant activity on my account and that the credit card company will send me a new card via UPS to India! Very nice of them. Apparently there are people in the UK that steal credit card information all the time. They use a magnetic strip reader which is inserted into machines (ATM's, Phones (that accept cards of course) etc) and then they collect the information later.
